\n\t\t\t\t\t\tIn light of the continuous expansion of technology use within the healthcare sector, and the growing need for specialists who combine physical knowledge with medical applications, the Department of Medical Physics was established in the College of Science at Alnoor University in 2025. It aims to serve as a new scientific pillar dedicated to graduating cadres with a deep understanding of diagnostic and radiotherapy technologies.\nThe establishment of the department came as a scientific response to the rapid developments in modern medicine, particularly in the fields of medical imaging, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. The department\u2019s academic program has been designed to balance the precise theoretical aspects of physics with practical applications in medical institutions, based on international academic standards and reinforced through hands-on training in advanced laboratories.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tA graduate of the Department of Medical Physics is expected to have a solid knowledge base in physics concepts and their medical applications, and to be capable of efficiently and professionally operating diagnostic and radiation therapy equipment. The graduate possesses analytical and technical skills that enable them to work within multidisciplinary medical teams and provide the necessary physics support to medical staff in radiology and radiation therapy departments.\nThe graduate is also familiar with the ethical and legal aspects associated with the use of radiation and is able to adhere to professional safety and protection standards.
